Position: Proprietary Sector Representative
June Sparks
South College

Statement of Candidacy
I am honored to seek election as the TASFAA Proprietary Institutions Sector Representative for the 2026 term. With over 20 years of experience in financial aid administration and leadership, I bring a strong commitment to compliance, collaboration, and student-centered service.
As Senior Director of Financial Aid at South College, I have led teams, developed federal compliance policies, supported audits, and helped build new campus operations. Having worked at every level of financial aid, I understand the diverse challenges proprietary institutions face.
What drives my work is not just process and policy, but people. I believe deeply in mentoring, supporting professional growth, and creating environments where teams can thrive while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance. I value open communication, collaboration across institutions, and sharing best practices that elevate our entire sector.
I naturally gravitate toward roles that allow me to encourage, connect, and advocate. I take pride in being approachable, dependable, and solutions-focused—especially in complex or rapidly changing regulatory environments. I would bring that same energy and dedication to representing proprietary institutions within TASFAA.
On a personal note, I have been married since 2012, am the proud parent of three boys, and the delighted Mimi of four grandchildren. Our home is joyfully chaotic thanks to two cats and one very goofy boxer who keeps us all entertained. My family is my foundation and a constant reminder of why education, access, and opportunity matter so deeply.
If elected, I will work to ensure that proprietary institutions have a strong, informed, and engaged voice within TASFAA. I am committed to listening, advocating, and helping our sector navigate challenges while continuing to serve students with excellence.
Thank you for your consideration and for the opportunity to serve
