Statement of Candidacy

I am honored to be nominated for the position of Member-at-Large with TASFAA. I currently serve as the Director of Financial Aid at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, where I have the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team dedicated to student access and success. I began my career in financial aid in 2005 serving as a financial aid counselor and spent nine years at Belmont University, These experiences have allowed me to gain a deep understanding of both operational leadership and student-centered service.

I am a long-time member of TASFAA and have greatly valued the professional development, collaboration, and sense of community the association provides. Throughout my career, I have been motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives, particularly by helping them navigate complex financial processes so they can focus on achieving their educational goals.

Serving in this role would be both an honor and a responsibility I take seriously. I am passionate about supporting our profession, learning from colleagues across the state, and contributing my experience to further TASFAA’s mission. Financial aid work is challenging, rewarding, and impactful, and I am grateful every day to do this work with such dedicated professionals.
